Dai Vernon

Dai Vernon (June 11, 1894 – August 21, 1992), known to many as The Professor, is to magic what Einstein is to physics. Born in Canada, Vernon, after tireless studying of The Expert at The Card Table, became one of the greatest magicians of the 20th century.  The father of the effect Triumph, and the man who fooled Houdini, Vernon left a mark on the magic community that will inform our art for centuries. After taking up residence at The Magic Castle, Vernon came into his own as The Professor, teaching the next generation of conjurors that would transform the landscape of magic in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
